We went to town with luxury soft furnishings which included a retro patterned wallpaper from Osborne and Little in brown, rust and bronze, and interlined curtains made from a bronze metallic linen. We designed a fantastic ‘spoon’ shaped bar which was painted in high gloss chocolate brown, and sourced a stunning pendant light from CTO in bronze and brass which created a focal point over the circular end of the bar. The bar surface which appears to be rusted metal is in fact ceramic from Neolith. My clients ordered a new pool table with a custom cover of saffron baize, and a bespoke dart board cupboard completed the scheme. We even considered those who’d enjoyed a few drinks and whose accuracy was impaired – since we lined the doors of the dart board cupboard with cork, stained to match the bar itself…..
Specialist lighting systems were installed to light both the bar and the area reserved for dancing – which comes complete with disco ball and multi-coloured recessed down-lights. This room leads from an elegant living room and dining hall completed for my clients the previous year.
